These mini guides provide basic information to help ensure that you can use a camera to document “Who” committed the crime and “How” they did it, in addition to documenting the crime itself. The long-term goal is to ensure that the video you collect could help investigators more easily link perpetrators — especially those who are not physically present at the scene of the incident — to the crime itself, so they can eventually be brought to trial. Check out the full section here.
The Field Guide is drawn from conversations with attorneys, investigators, analysts, legal scholars, funders and our peers working on-the-ground where the violations happen, and will aim to improve the reliability and effectiveness of video shot as human rights documentation.
